NextEra Energy commits to eliminate carbon emissions from its operations by no later than 2045

NextEra Energy, a trustee of the Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has announced plans to produce nearly all of its electricity from carbon-free renewable sources by 2045.

On June 14, 2022, NextEra energy announced their Real Zero™ goal to eliminate carbon emissions from its operations and leverage low-cost renewables to drive energy affordability for customers.
